Stories from my hometown

As i was growing up in a little town in the center of Mexico, I heard different stories about fantastic creatures and characters that lived in the fields or that appeared at night and they always fascinated me. This is an ongoing effort to represent those tales as images.

Chaneques - Creatures that protect the natural resources. Usually they live near the rivers, lakes and fields and can be very naughty if you invade their space. Because of this some people bring offerings and ask for permission before entering some areas.

Charro Negro (Black Charro) - A representation of evil that goes around seducing souls in different ways.
